Business Analyst V

Our client, is seeking an experienced, senior-level Business Analyst V to spearhead a critical content architecture and data platform transition.

In this strategic, short-term engagement, you will act as the functional anchor for a major cloud migration initiative, transition files, and governance models from a legacy platform to a modern Virtual Data Room (VDR) ecosystem powered by Box. Your primary mandate will focus on evaluating document management workflows, configuring strict folder access controls, mapping security permissions, and driving organizational readiness. Additionally, you will lead the creation of technical end-user documentation to ensure a seamless post-migration operational handoff.

Period: July 20, 2026 – October 30, 2026

Extension Possible: Potential based on project milestones and business requirements

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the corporate office)

Responsibilities
VDR Migration Analysis: Analyze, coordinate, and execute the functional transition of enterprise data and file structures from one legacy Virtual Data Room (VDR) environment over to Box.

Access Control & Permissions Modeling: Audit, design, and configure complex electronic document management access rights, security parameters, folder permissions, and user group controls inside the target cloud environment.

SaaS Application Optimization: Assist with the baseline configuration, business rule validation, and user provisioning setups required for modern SaaS data platform rollouts.

Technical Documentation Generation: Author, structure, and refine clear, highly legible technical end-user instructions, operational runbooks, and platform adoption guides to smooth out post-migration business changes.

Agile Project Delivery Support: Actively participate in all core Agile ceremonies, managing sprint deliverables, defining user stories, and tracking progress indicators using Jira.

Stakeholder Interfacing: Coordinate directly with application owners and security partners to ensure migration accuracy, clean data cutovers, and rigorous verification of data assets.



Qualifications
Experience: Proven progressive experience operating as a Senior Business Analyst (Level V equivalent) within matrixed corporate environments.

VDR / Document Management Depth: Direct, hands-on experience utilizing Box or similar institutional Virtual Data Rooms/Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) to structure secure data rooms.

SaaS and Migration Portfolio: Practical experience analyzing, scoping, or delivering data migrations, software asset transitions, or enterprise SaaS cloud setups.

Agile Tool Mastery: Solid working knowledge operating within an Agile framework, with direct experience utilizing Jira for task tracking and issue categorization.

Soft Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal capability to align stakeholders across teams. Must be a self-motivated self-starter who can quickly parse operational ambiguities and drive execution.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Practical experience handling large-scale data migrations or file telemetry transformations.

Deep foundational knowledge or experience operating within a highly regulated industry governed by strict data security, privacy compliance, and retention guidelines (such as Financial Services, Legal, Healthcare, or Insurance).

Professional technical writing experience or past exposure to drafting corporate system deployment manuals.
