To be successful in this Cost Accountant/SAP Analyst position, a large degree of technology expertise, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems will be required. Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring unit cost variance
• Implementing cost standards for materials and labor
• Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports
• Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock
• Development and maintenance of the documentation for master data creation and maintenance that is centrally controlled
• Subsequent data maintenance activities with target markets & business units to ensure data content is complete
• Monitor product creation cycle within requested timelines
• Search and audit new requests to prevent duplication of data
• Analyze and resolve cross-functional data issues.
• Assist teams with data-related aspects of acquisition integrations.
• Participate in PLS annually to determine codes to be discontinued.
• Support in the development of new concepts with product managers to launch new products.
• Review and monitor data governance website to correct cross-functional master data
• Attend Local Expert Team (LET) meetings, participating in product code creation process
• Support customer service and manufacturing plants in day-to-day master data issues
• Implement corporate requests for code deletions and data maintenance
• Assist Factory Controller and LET with cost estimation for new project launches
• Attend Sales & Operation meetings to determine inventory at risk and action plan needed to address issues
• Develop yearly factory rates based on capacity planning and implement in SAP
• Evaluate, adapt and maintain the standard costing in SAP according to group standards
• Implement production closing for all factories at each month end and review output variances
• Complete quarterly evaluation of inventory and complete costing list by Business Unit followed by updating Salesforce accordingly

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of cost accounting experience in a large manufacturing company
• Bachelor's degree in an accounting/finance discipline
• Knowledge of SAP or ERP software and proficiency in Excel is required
• Experience using Salesforce is an asset
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of inventory analysis and data management
• Eagerness to collaborate with multiple departments
• Ability to travel throughout the year to various plants for on-site data management
• Bilingual English/French is an asset
