Position: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 Days WFO)
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, project managers, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into detailed requirements.
Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and gap analysis sessions.
Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and process maps.
Support Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
Perform data analysis, process analysis, and impact assessments.
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), prepare test scenarios, and coordinate defect resolution activities.
Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and ensure traceability.
Work with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful implementation.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Prepare status reports, presentations, and project documentation for stakeholders and senior management.
Required Skills & Experience:
8-10 years of experience as a Business System Analyst.
Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and documentation.
Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and project lifecycle management.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with business users and technical teams.
