Urgent HR consulting opportunity with a global organization- 2 to 3 month contract term to start. Working from a corporate office in Surrey (hybrid flexibility available).

Well-rounded generalist role involving employee relations, HR policies, HR programs, HR project coordination, etc. Candidates must have at least 5 years progressive and relevant HR work experience, with solid knowledge of BC and Canadian employment law.

Who- the Company : Our client is a very well-established and successful company that is part of a large global corporation.

This role is based at a corporate office in Surrey, working on an HR team of 2 (and a broader Canadian HR team of around 25).

What- the Role :

On behalf of our client, SWIM is looking for a new Human Resources Generalist for a 2-to-3 month contract (with chance for extensions into 2025).

This is a well-rounded generalist role involving employee relations (including investigations), leave management, HR policy creation and revision, project coordination and communication for new and existing HR programs (related to L&D, sales training, onboarding / orientation), etc.

Please note the preference is for the new consultant to work 5 days / 40 hours a week, but we are possibly open to someone very qualified who only wants to work 4 days a week.

Work hours are typically 8am to 4 : 30pm (including 30 min lunch break), but there is flexibility as needed.

Who- the Candidate :

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ progressive and diverse HR experience, including experience in employee relations and HR policies & programs.

Candidates must have solid knowledge of BC and Canadian employment law and standards. Experience in a B2B industrial company is preferred, but not required, as is experience with an ISO-compliant organization.

Hands-on experience using an HRIS is required, experience using an LMS is an asset. Qualified candidates for this role will be detail-oriented, adaptable, responsive, friendly, and able to manage competing priorities.

How Much :

Hourly consulting rate commensurate with HR work experience, education / credentials, and skills- the range is quite wide at $28 to $41+.

Located in Surrey , accessible by transit (15 to 20 min walk from a Skytrain station) and there is free parking available.
