Welders or Apprentice Welders
Position Summary :
Reporting to the Welding Supervisor, Welder is responsible for fitting, assembling and welding parts and components of a structural nature in accordance with blueprints, drawings and / or verbal instructions to produce agricultural equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Operation of required measuring instruments tape measures, micrometer and weld fillet gage.
- Welds components in flat position.
- Complete welds as per company drawings, standards and procedures.
- Recording of process sheets and daily work tickets (interval and first off checks).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform all other work activities as assigned and required.
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required :
- Journeyman Wire Process Operator or Journeyman, Welder (Red Seal or Provincial) or CWB trade certificate
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalency
- Registered Apprentices considered.
- Combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
The successful applicant must have a superior work ethic, excellent time management skills, commitment to safety and a positive attitude.
The work environment will include working alone or as part of a team and following safe work practices.
