HVAC FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Montreal, Quebec

We have an opportunity for a highly self-motivated individual with strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to join our team of HVAC Field Service Technicians out of our Montreal Office.

Engineered Air is recognized as a leader in providing extended employee training. You will commence your position as an HVAC Field Service Technician with a training program in Newmarket, Ontario, duration to be determined depending on experience and ability.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide technical support on indoor / outdoor HVAC equipment in the field.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude while keeping the company’s interests in mind at all times.
  • The successful candidate will work independently.
  • There is a requirement to accept assignments on short notice and work within strict deadlines.
  • Occasional work outside regular business hours is required.
  • Travel in and out of province is required.

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION :

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Diploma; HVAC or HRAC Technology; or Building Systems Engineering Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Tag 1 or G. 1 Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of RBQ (Regis du Batiment du Quebec) CSA B149. 1-15, is an asset.
  • One or two years of related design, production, or service experience will be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Experience in HVAC systems, control systems desirable.
  • SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean abstract are required.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in French and English.
  • Proven ability to problem solve in challenging situations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team locally and remotely.
  • The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
