Respiratory Therapist Adult Respiratory Therapy Tory Trauma Program Regular Full-Time

Salary Range:$43.127-$53.735/hr

Reporting to the Manager of Respiratory Therapy the Registered Respiratory Therapist works at all times within an interprofessional model of care. Respiratory Therapists provide respiratory therapy service 24/7 to patients in the many Intensive Care Units Trauma Room Emergency Department wards and the Ross Tilley Burn Centre.

They are responsible for (but not limited to):

• Ventilation management - weaning and discontinuation
• Performing as a member of Code Teams Trauma Teams and Rapid Response Teams
• Performing airway management including intubations and tracheostomy tube insertions
• Delivering respiratory care where required
• Supervision education and evaluation of students assigned by the Clinical Coordinator

Qualifications/Skills

• Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario (CRTO)
• Degree/Diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
• Must hold current certification in BCLS
• Previous experience in Acute Care and Critical Care environments
• Thoroughly familiar with and competent in all aspects of Respiratory Therapy
• Demonstrated clinical and technical ability
