You are eager to contribute to the success of one of Canada’s Best Managed companies by shaping the future of data engineering.Reporting to the Senior Director of Data Engineering and Architecture, the Data Engineering Manager will assist in setting the vision for data engineering, establish best practices, and lead a high-performing team to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions.## ## In this role, you will :

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Set strategic direction for data engineering initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and business priorities.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, robust, and reusable data pipelines and architectures.
• Architect and guide the implementation of data warehousing solutions and ETL / ELT processes, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems, establishing policies and governance frameworks.
• Drive data-driven decision-making and innovation across high-impact projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with QA, CloudOps, and other stakeholders to develop test strategies, automate processes, and optimize the DDLC.
• Oversee release planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of data systems and infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into strategic technical roadmaps and actionable plans.
• Provide expert consultation on evaluating data and software systems, recommending improvements and new technologies.## ## What we’re looking for :
• Proven experience leading and managing data engineering teams in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Deep expertise in SQL, Python, Shell scripting, and modern data engineering tools (Snowflake, Boomi, Prefect).
• Strong understanding of ETL, API development, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools (GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Octopus) and CI / CD pipeline automation.
• Expert with DBT for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake
• Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure design and implementation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
