Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services
- Assist with administering formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposals
- Develop relationships with current and potential referral sources including credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, accountants, etc.
- Prepare and review relevant BIA documentation
- Help identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors; ensure debtor needs are met
- Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the debtor
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Maintain flexibility to travel periodically, as necessary
Skills and Experience
- Completion of the Insolvency Administration course and / or BIA Insolvency Counselor course, or willingness to work toward same depending on experience
- 2 to 4 years of insolvency experience; professional services experience outside of insolvency will also be considered
- Ability to Speak French and English (written and oral) is considered an asset
