Job Description
CIMA+ is seeking an Intermediate Hydraulic Modeler to join our team of multidisciplinary professionals to work on water and wastewater projects in collaboration with our designers, clients, and construction teams.
The successful candidate will utilize, build and calibrate hydraulic models to contribute to engineering projects, infrastructure studies and environmental assessments for municipal water and wastewater projects in Ontario.
The candidate’s skills and areas of interest will provide them the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and roles.
The candidate will integrate into our passionate water / wastewater team that fosters learning and sharing of technical ideas with peers.
CIMA+ has an exciting wide variety of projects that include distribution system optimization, pump station design, master planning, transient analysis, demand forecasting, and supply planning among others.
Primary Responsibilities
- Builds, calibrates and applies water and wastewater hydraulic models
- Supports our senior engineers with water and wastewater projects for a wide variety of municipal and private sector clients
- Collaborates with junior staff and other intermediate engineers to provide deliverables
- Prepares engineering calculations, reports, and drawings
- Participates in the preparation of fee estimates and proposals
- Liaises with municipalities, regulators, clients and other agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Advanced degrees are considered an asset
- Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) licence or must be eligible to obtain within one year
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with water and wastewater infrastructure design and hydraulics.
- Experience with water and wastewater hydraulic modeling software
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Experience with ARCGIS is considered an asset
- Valid class G drivers’ licence with access to a vehicle
