The Property Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Metropolis at Metrotown. Reporting to the Senior Property Manager (SPM), responsibilities of the PM will include overseeing property administration functions, leading the guest services team, and managing strong tenant relationships.
The PM will work closely with other departments such as Marketing, Operations, Security, and Specialty Leasing. The PM will regularly liaise with the SPM and perform the duties of the SPM in their absence.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Oversee the Guest Services Department, including direct supervision of the Guest Services Supervisor and their team. This includes managing customer service initiatives, the gift card sales program, and resolving high-level customer complaints
Directly oversee an Administrative Assistant and ensure the completion of sales, traffic, and occupancy reporting, as well as the collection of tenant insurance
Collaborate with the Tenant Coordination team and Operations Manager to oversee and support the execution of tenant improvement projects.
This involves coordinating with contractors, facilitating work coordination, conducting onsite meetings, and assisting tenants with openings
Effectively handle and resolve daily inquiries and issues from tenants, ensuring prompt responses and addressing concerns related to property policies, procedures, and programs
Navigate complex property management challenges with the goal of delivering a first-class experience to all stakeholders
Conduct regular property inspections ensuring that all lease-related obligations are met such as building rules and procedures, lease lines, operating hours, etc
Collaborate with the Leasing team to prepare budgets, leasing plans, and tenant sales forecasting
Work closely with the Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor, and SPM to oversee services contracts and ensure parties meet their contractual obligations
Collaborate with all departments to develop and implement strategies to enhance market position, drive foot traffic, increase sales, and maximize revenue
Liaison between departments to ensure consistent flow of communication and procedures throughout property
Manage a high-performing team through effective leadership, training and development, goal setting, and regular performance reviews
Work closely with the Operations team to implement and manage environmental programs, such as tenant recycling and waste management
Assist the SPM in executing various initiatives and programs to improve the property and create a better tenant and customer experience
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Three to five years of industry related experience
University Degree is required; Business major is preferred
Strong customer focus and ability to resolve conflicts positively and effectively
Aptitude to embrace change and welcome new approaches in an exceedingly evolving, fast-paced environment
Ability to identify new opportunities to generate new customer experiences
Must have excellent communication skills, and strong financial and managerial skills
Strong people management and leadership skills
Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, curious and continually look to add value, and improve processes
Strong computer (Word, Excel) and creative problem-solving skills are also required, along with the ability to multi-task and effectively organize and balance multiple priorities
Passionate about shopping centers, real estate, and a desire to grow within the organization
Rental Property Management License Required (or working towards license)

90,000.00 108,000.00 CAD per year
