The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications from talented scholars for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2026 .
Responsibilities
This research-intensive position benefits from existing infrastructure, equipment, human resources and an international collaborative network at the Centre for Aerospace Research (CfAR). The CfAR laboratories enable graduate students and researchers to undertake research emphasizing a ‘design-build-fly’ philosophy to aerospace innovation. The successful candidate is expected to pursue next-generation aerospace technologies that can transform aviation and related technologies for impact.
This position is one of two aerospace positions being advertised as part of an institutional commitment to expanding the aerospace research and development portfolio of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science and CfAR. The candidate’s qualifications, experience and market demand will influence the final salary offer. The salary includes a competitive range of $123,000 – $152,000. UVic is committed to offering an equitable and competitive salary, with a generous benefits package, eligible leaves and pension plan.
