About the Job : We are seeking an
Senior Release Train Engineer (RTE)
with a strong background in
Scrum Mastery, Release Management, and DevOps enablement
to support a fast‑paced retail delivery environment. This role will act as the
central delivery and release orchestrator , ensuring seamless coordination across Agile teams, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
The RTE will drive
complex releases
by enabling automation, improving flow through CI / CD pipelines, and enforcing release governance—while providing transparency to leadership on delivery health, risks, and release readiness.

Position Responsibilities :
Serve as
Senior Release Train Engineer , driving alignment, flow, and execution across multiple Agile teams
Taking ownership of managing complex releases across all teams
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including
PI planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives .
Coach teams on
Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery best practices
to improve predictability and throughput.
Act as
Scrum Master for a QA‑focused team , including performance, regression, and web QA engineers.
Own
end‑to‑end release management
for multiple recurring and ad‑hoc releases.
Plan, coordinate, and execute
weekly production releases
with minimal business disruption.
Partner with
DevOps and platform teams
to align release schedules with
CI / CD pipelines and deployment automation .
Enable release readiness through
automated testing, stable environments, and deployment pipelines .
Coordinate
consolidated releases
across multiple teams and value streams.
Identify delivery and pipeline bottlenecks and drive improvements to
lead time, deployment frequency, and release success rates .
Ensure compliance with
release governance, quality standards, and change management controls .
Requirements
Required Qualifications :
10+ years of overall experience
and 7+ years as an RTE
Strong hands‑on experience in
Release Management
across multiple teams and projects.
Demonstrated
exposure to DevOps practices , CI / CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
Experience working closely with
QA teams , including performance and regression testing.
Solid understanding of
dependency management, risk mitigation, and release governance .
Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership‑level stakeholder management skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a
high‑frequency, high‑velocity release environment .
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in the retail or e‑commerce domain.
Working knowledge of DevOps tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub / GitLab, Azure DevOps, AWS, Kubernetes, or similar).
Having SAFe, Scrum Master. RTE certifications

Benefits
Salary Range :
$90,000 to $100,000 CAD / year
The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job‑related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education / training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and / or other incentives, where applicable.
