Senior Plastic Extrusion Engineer

Overview of Position :

Our client, a global manufacturerof plastic extrusion molding and injection molding products, is looking to hirea capable Plastics Extrusion Engineer to join their progressive and excitingteam.

The successful candidate will beresponsible for developing and optimizing plastic extrusion processes via continuousimprovement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

KeyAccountabilities :

• Responsible for the optimization of Plastic Extrusion Processes in a state of the art plastic extrusion environment
• Proactively investigate plastic extruded products and processes and identify opportunities for further improvement.
• Provide cost-saving initiatives by assessing manufacturing processes and QA standards at the plant
• Implement statistical process control

SPC) into the manufacturing process both existing and new extrusion processes

• Integrate and improve manufacturing systems and related processes for all extruded products.
• Ensures technical accuracy of project scope and design details.
• Communicate manufacturing or design issues and coordinate resolutions with engineering team

Key Qualifications :

• BSc. Engineering Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, etc.
• Excellent technical knowledge of plastic extrusion processes and material
• 3-5 years’ Plastic Extrusion and / or Thermoforming experience in a reputable manufacturing environment
• Successful track record in an ISO13485, ISO 9001, or GMP plant
• Ability to apply Statistical Process Control
