Starting Salary Range : $115,000 - $135,000. Exact compensation may vary depending on individual experience and qualifications. Applicants with greater or less than the minimum qualifications for this posted opportunity may be considered for alternate opportunities.

Accountabilities : How You Will Make an Impact
Prepare Front End Engineering (FEED) and interpret process engineering documents, including but not limited to : Process Design Description and Requirements, Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Process Design Simulation & Calculations, Equipment Sizing / Rating Calculations, Process Specifications, and Control Philosophy (Control Narrative).Develop test procedures for functional testing and factory acceptance testing to meet Kinectrics quality program requirements.Work with Mechanical and EI&C Engineers to support manufacturability and testability of process designs.Interpret mechanical drawings to address manufacturability or performance concerns.Visit client sites locally and internationally, as needed; support multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrate understanding of ASME VIII, ASME B31.1, and ASME B31.3.Experience with CAD for process flow design (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).Knowledge of distillation, dryers, scrubbers, cryogenics, and process simulation is an asset.Identify equipment suppliers and ensure conformance with specifications.Develop concept designs under the direction of the Technical Team Lead and Subject Matter Experts.Develop 2D / 3D models of equipment or skids for fabrication.Prepare for testing and commissioning activities (FAT / functional testing) to high accuracy standards.Support programming for unit operation models (e.g., Visual Basic, Python, C#) and understand chemical reaction engineering concepts.Collaborate in technical evaluations, procedures, test plans, data analysis, and reporting; liaise with customers, staff, contractors, consultants, and vendors as appropriate.Assist in procurement activities, including planning, inspections, scope of work, terms review, and risk assessment.Identify opportunities for technical process improvements and support change driven by lessons learned.Develop 2D / 3D models of complex equipment or skids to support fabrication; participate in R&D projects.Assist or lead in developing proposals for internal and external customers.Perform project management and other duties as needed and act as technical support for the Department Manager and others in the department.Assist in contract negotiation and administration, including cost estimates, scheduling, and resources.Execute customer work and provide reports with recommendations based on results; represent Kinectrics at conferences.Perform other duties as required.What You Need To Succeed
A four-year university degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Masters or PhD preferred) plus at least five years of engineering experience in Nuclear or manufacturing.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in modeling and design of process systems.Experience with process systems, skids, panel fabrication, and FAT / commissioning testing.Knowledge of ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code is an asset.Process design experience in tritium and hydrogen technologies is an asset; familiarity with tritium processes (CECE, WD, HPS, ISS, CDS) and tritium instrumentation.Familiar with gas separation technologies such as cryogenic distillation and thermal diffusion.Experience managing suppliers for design, assembly, and manufacturing.Knowledge of CANDU nuclear technology is an asset; excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service capabilities.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to work in a team and adapt to changing work areas.Proficiency with computers and software relevant to engineering roles.Minimum of 5 years of experience working on medium to high complexity projects.Professional Engineer registration is required.diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) is a core value at Kinectrics.
