Dialysis Assistant Oak Ridges Site Hemodialysis

Job Description

Assist in performing a variety of routine functions related to the provision of hemodialysis following infection control and department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Technical / mechanical ability and dexterity.
• Healthcare experience in an acute care environment.
• Knowledge of dialysis machines and the inner working of supporting a dialysis unit required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate or willing to obtain within three months of hire.
• Primary assignment at the Oak RidgesSatelliteSite; however may be assigned to the Mackenzie Health Main Siteand / or VaughanSatelliteSite based on operational needs.
• Proven attendance record.
• Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
• Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
• Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Healths Commitment to Caring.
