The Role

Be an integral member of Cameco’s exploration team, striving to bring the multiple benefits of nuclear energy to the world, by finding the next generation of uranium deposits.

This is a one-year temporary staff position located in Saskatoon, SK.

In this role, you will :

  • provide geotechnical and geological support to all Saskatchewan field programs
  • logging of down hole geophysical drill holes
  • process drill core and data collection
  • maintain and calibrate equipment and vehicles
  • assist with other camp responsibilities as required
  • complete drill site inspections and communicate safe work procedures to all contractors on site

Required :

  • Geological technician certificate or diploma
  • One or more years of relevant work experience in an exploration environment
  • Team player with the ability to work well independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Valid class 5 driver’s licence
  • Safety-oriented work attitude
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual labour, including heavy lifting, as required for this position
  • Work a rotational schedule during field season

Recommended :

  • First aid training, TDG, WHMIS, ATV / snow machine certification, boat safety training
  • Experienced in MS Office
