Responsibilities
Create high-quality 3D isometric designs for various projects.
Develop both toon models and photo-realistic designs.
Simplify complex shapes into clear, understandable forms that accurately represent intended objects.
Work efficiently to build 3D shapes quickly and accurately.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Participate in testing and refining designs based on feedback.
Attend on-site meetings in Toronto or Mississauga as required.
Collaborate with the level design team to create 3D models for game environments and complete set pieces from initial block-out to final polish.
Support collaborative prototype efforts with the design team and project leads.
Create engaging environments and props with strong visual composition and gameplay space.
Ensure artistic unity across the project by working closely with art leads and the art team.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure harmonious gameplay and level function.
Maintain consistent aesthetic and technical quality across all environments.
Align content with the visual direction of the game, ensuring it meets the highest quality standards and performance requirements of the game engine.
Qualifications
Proficiency in 3D isometric design.
Strong understanding of toon and photo-realistic modeling techniques.
Ability to simplify complex shapes into clear, understandable designs.
Quick and efficient in building 3D shapes.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Flexibility to work on-site in Toronto or Mississauga as needed.
Proficient in 3D Studio Max and Maya.
Experience with Spline 3D is highly valued.
Education and Core Skills Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in game development as an artist creating environment assets using Maya (or equivalent), Photoshop, ZBrush, and the Substance Suite.
