Business Unit : Curated Position : CG Generalist Location : Toronto, ON (Remote) *Pay Range : $50.00 - $70.00 CAD hourly POSITION SUMMARY: The CG Generalist is responsible for completing a diverse array of 3D-related tasks, maintaining a high degree of adaptability and a wide breadth of CG skills.

MAIN DUTIES: The CG Generalist proficiently completes 3D-related tasks including hard surface modeling, look development, texturing, animation, rendering, shading, lighting, tracking, and effects.

They assist with developing look of a sequence, drives the creative and technical setup of assets, and ensures look consistency, optimized render times, and ease of use of assets.

They are also responsible for the following: Manages publishing of asset and conducts follow-ups to ensure team usability QCs lighting setups of other Houdini TDs to ensure best practices, optimized render times, and methodologies Works closely with compositors to ensure renders are efficient, consistent, and clean Pivots between roles and projects as needed Maintains aesthetic, creative, and technical quality standards of production WHAT YOU BRING: The ideal candidate will have solid prior CG generalist experience at VFX studio.

They will have proven ability across various CG disciplines, strong understanding of CG pipeline, and strong technical CG knowledge.

They will also have a strong background in character, mechanical, animation.

Additional desired skills include: Proven ability to balance quality of work with time constraints Working knowledge of Maya, Houdini, Substance, Photoshop, Zbrush, Mari, Nuke, Shotgrid Asset lookdev and shot lighting is done within Houdini, and rendered with Mantra and Karma ABOUT THE COMPANY: Company 3, including its various business units and family of brands, provides a full range of Creative Services for content creators, including conceptual design, pre-vis, look development, ideation and rapid prototyping, 3D animation/CGI, motion graphics/designers, matte painting, compositing, dailies and production services, color grading, post-production finishing, marketing/trailers, live-action production, experiences, and more.
