We are currently looking for a Security Technician to join our team!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, repair and service a variety of technical complex security systems
  • Interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics
  • Strong computer skills - proficient in PC applications Microsoft Office, TCP / IP and networking standards
  • Execute technical aspects of multiple projects including programming, start-up, certification testing, customer training, close-out documentation, and on-going technical support
  • Identify potential project risks; implement strategies to control deviations from estimated costs and deadlines, while maintaining a sense of urgency to meet the needs of business changes
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt
  • Other duties as require

Required Skills

  • Proven organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple projects
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong diagnostic skills, and resolve technical problems, be self-motivated and calm under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Self-motivated, positive, and professional attitude

Required Experience

  • Strong understanding of the processes and procedures of Security Systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of access control and CCTV products
  • A good knowledge of building systems and relevant standards
  • Three years of relevant industry experience

Additional Requirements

  • Maintain a valid class 5 operator's license
  • Ability to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs as required
  • Travel may be required
