Mail Associate (1-2 years of exp. Required)

One of our clients is looking for a Mail Associate (1-2 years of exp. Required) Length : 10 Months Contract with a possibility of extension Location : Mississauga, ON (Onsite) Working Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : -Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using common mail services including fax, air express, freight and postal services.

• Receive, sort and process mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notify recipients. -Basic Printing utilizing colour production printers -Record & process accountable mail information, maintain logs.
• Basic Printing utilizing colour production printers -Shipping and receiving using automated system to track and manage activity.
• Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements. -Determine output packaging per packaging standards.
• Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. -Operate mail equipment including mail inserters, sorters and finishing equipment.
• Perform quality checks on outbound mail. -Perform charge-back reporting for postage, air express, local delivery, and faxes.
• Perform mail labeling / mail merge. -Perform electronic mail distribution (open, mail prep, scan and distribute). -Perform fulfillment functions, such as assembly, packaging, and kitted materials.
• Follow mailroom security procedures. -Perform logging, transmission, receipt, and timely distribution of faxes. -Deliver and pick-up mail on scheduled runs.
• Recommend improvements to achieve cost savings and optimize workflow. -Track, trace, and resolve mail problems or concerns.
• Monitor / order / replenish supplies inventory. -Able to be on your feet 80% of the time. - Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to learn. -Have a valid driver's license. SKILLS : -Good communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.

Self-motivated. -Able to read, write and follow English instructions. -Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with minimal supervision. -Ability to operate high volume mail and insertion equipment.

EXPERIENCE : -6 months to 1 year experience in a professional working environment. -Experience in a client-facing environment.

1 to 2 years' experience in a mailroom environment -Previous dock experience. - Experience with lift truck and material handling equipment.
