Job Title : Golang Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing internal tools and applications for the development team. This role requires independent work and the ability to create a pipeline of work based on requirements. You will transform requirements into a road map and execute development processes efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and requirements, advocating for user-centric software solutions.
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, and methodologies such as agile.
• Create high-level software architecture designs outlining the overall structure, components, and interfaces of applications.
• Design and implement functionalities for Golang-based command-line tools.
• Develop and implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Write technical specifications for new features and improvements.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contribute to process improvements, CI / CD pipelines, and toolchain upgrades.

Work Environment

Work in the office four days a week, with the flexibility to work from any office location in Canada. You will be developing tools and automation for internal teams, optimizing the development process.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oakville, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00 / hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Oakville,ON.
