Adecco is currently recruiting a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our reputable client, a member of the Assembly of First Nations, as a permanent, full-time Housing Coordinator in Gold River, BC.

In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of managing customer and client relations. The Housing Coordinator position necessitates a diverse skill set, including organizational acumen, strategic planning, effective coordination, a comprehensive understanding of British Columbia's regulatory landscape, the ability to build trust and credibility within the community, and proficiency in computer literacy.

  • Pay rate : up to $62,000 / year
  • Location : Gold River, BC
  • Job type : Full-time Permanent
  • Relocation assistance is partially provided, if not presently a resident of Gold River, BC.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage tenant relationships in their entirety
  • Attend committee meetings as required
  • Facilitate Housing committee meetings in their entirety including creating and distributing agendas, taking minutes and submitting minutes for review by the Housing Manager
  • Coordinate needed repairs with the Public Works Supervisor, under the Housing Manager's supervision
  • Maintain departmental records, payments, repairs, receipts
  • Oversee new house inspections, as well as inspecting houses upon tenants exiting the rented premises
  • Prepare rental agreements with new tenants and facilitate move-in, including the key handling and initial walk-through inspection with tenants

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Completion of Secondary School is required, a University degree is preferred
  • A combination of education and experience working in a housing support setting, with at least three years of experience.
  • High level of competency in computer software, including MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Some budgeting, and management experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in project management principles.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong emphasis on mutual support.
  • Capability to handle complex, high-pressure situations, difficult decisions, or emergencies with tact, compassion, and sensitivity.
  • Analytical skills to assess complex programs, policies, and operational needs for effective service delivery.
  • Ability to identify and address sensitive community and organizational issues, concerns, and needs.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and filing system skills.
  • Aptitude for establishing rapport with individuals from diverse educational and occupational backgrounds.
  • RCMP clearance, including a Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a transportation vehicle for regular travel.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
