The Role : Lead Front End Developer
The Team : The Ratings Division is looking to hire a Sr. Full‑Stack Developer to lead hands‑on development and provide design‑pattern insight. The S&P Global structured finance value‑stream technology team in the Ratings Division consists of geographically diversified software engineers responsible for developing scalable solutions by working directly with the product development team. Responsibilities
Develop web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other open‑source Java frameworks, RESTful web services.
Enterprise‑level integrations using distributed streaming platform, REST, OKTA, etc.
Front‑end development using React, Angular, and MFE architectures.
Database development on PostgreSQL, Oracle, and integrations with application services.
Application containerization and deployments through CI / CD pipelines and AWS services such as S3, EKS, EC2, etc.
Write SQL queries and understand data models; Databricks knowledge is a plus.
Deploy applications using containers.
Maintain infrastructure knowledge and CI / CD exposure.
Observe, monitor, and troubleshoot using Splunk, ELK, Jaeger, etc.
Prior experience with Camunda workflow tool or other open‑source workflow tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 1 year of leading scrum team(s).
3+ years of hands‑on experience with Spring, RESTful services, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, MVC, JSP, etc.
Experience designing and building microservices‑based distributed systems in a serverless container platform.
Strong knowledge of front‑end technologies such as React, Angular, or Ext JS.
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with different database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL) and data modeling.
Experience with automated unit‑testing frameworks.
Ability to enforce security and engineering principles along with quality standards.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Design and maintain application architecture, including database schema and API design.
Proficiency in the development environment (IDE, application server, GIT, Azure DevOps, unit‑testing tools, defect management tools).
Knowledge of system architecture, object‑oriented design, and design patterns.

Toronto (Hybrid 2–3 days onsite)
Compensation / Benefits Information :
90k – 135k CAD / year base compensation. Final base salary is based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
