Our client in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Business Analyst – Financial System Implementation.

This is a 14-month Contract role to support a financial system implementation.

The role will be accountable for the business outcome of Finance specific functional areas relating to the new Project Management Information System and the Finance System.

The Business Analyst – Financial System Implementation will work closely with Finance Director and PMIS Project Team, and IT to identify business requirements, envision and create data structure for data conversion and integration to the Financial system based on business requirements, data conversion templates and test scripts. The role will also be responsible for user acceptance testing for Finance requirements, as well as assisting with data management design for integration between PMIS and Finance System.

What You Will Do :

• Oversee the financial integration between PMIS and Finance System by understanding the ‘full picture’ of Finance and Project management team requirements.
• Assist with master data management design and determining how data should flow between PMIS and Finance System.
• Participate in business requirements workshops associated with the project team.
• Attend all workshops delivered by the System Integrator’s project team - to facilitate the project conversion from PMIS to Financial Systems. Represent the Finance team during discussions and meetings.
• Participate in stakeholder interviews.
• Evaluate existing Finance procedures and methods, identify information requirements and data structures required for PMIS.
• Develop Finance business requirements and documentation of Finance business processes, including financial control.
• Support the project team in development of the data conversion templates and supporting documentation to ensure completeness of financial information.
• Collaborate with IT and the system implementors to develop test scripts related to all Finance requirements and enable UAT, working with business units. Work with system implementer to customize reports based on the finance requirements.
