Role and Responsibilities : Ø Review financial statements, corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, T5013 Partnership Returns, T3 Trust Returns, T4 / T4A / NR4 / T5 Information Slips, T5001 Tax Shelter Slips, GST and EHT Returns, ETD calculations, WSIB calculations.

Ø Review of client engagements files. Ø Maintain excellent client relationships. Ø Manage multiple engagements. Ø Respond to information requests from clients and tax authorities.

Ø Schedule team members for engagements, including preparing long-range schedule and updating current schedule. Ø Develop course of action, including coordination of start dates, planning and completion of engagements.

Ø Assist Associates and Senior Associates in planning engagements, preparing budgets, including assessing risk, suggesting procedures and guidance regarding approach.

Ø Communicate engagement issues to relevant team members. Ø Communicate with clients with respect to all aspects of the engagement such as, documentation requirements, timing, tax balance owing, and billing.

Ø Supervise and monitor fieldwork, including guidance on executing audit procedures, dealing with problems, and technical assistance.

Ø Train and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Co-op students. Ø Conduct annual performance review with team. Ø Review file timelines and draft invoices for billing.

Ø Meet billable target hours. Requirements : Ø Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.

Ø 1-2 years of experience managing a team of Professionals within the Public Accounting industry. Ø Experience with T1, T2, T3 and other tax forms mandatory.

Ø Strong technical background in Canadian Income Tax. Ø Experience with CaseWare, and CCH (Tax Prep) considered an asset.

Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ø Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Ø Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ø Ability to take initiative and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment characterized by changing priorities. Ø Experience using Microsoft Suite : Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Powered by JazzHR
