Environment Program Administrator-14-month contract

As an environment program administrator , you will be responsible for helping with the maintenance of Best Buy’s environmental and recycling programs, including the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDGR).
You will "connect the dots" between supplier information, updated program requirements, business needs, and the data collected for program report submissions.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do :
- Collaborate with internal contacts to coordinate data compilation required for program reporting
- Analyze data, identify trends and provides recommendations for corrections or errors in data prior reporting for provincial producer responsibility programs
- Act as program steward, providing updates and oversight for government recycling and TDGR programs. Assist with the education internal stakeholders on program compliance and ensures readiness for new programs and regulatory changes
- Works with internal stakeholders to research and recommend strategies and tools for new waste reduction programs and initiatives
- Participates in discussions and meetings with internal stakeholders, partners, regulators, and government representatives
- Conduct a weekly audit of new Product SKU setup to ensure accuracy and compliance with program requirements
- Manage program SKUs, including the setup and maintenance of the relationship tables for each program and region within RMS Best Buy’s system of record
What we’re looking for :
- Diploma in Environmental studies or Waste Management or equivalent
- Familiarity with extended and individual producer regulations
- Familiarity with TDGR, EPR programs and environmental regulation is ideal
- Data administration experience, preferably in logistics or retail
- Experience in MS Excel and Power Point
