We are looking for a skilled Tableau Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights, optimizing dashboards, and working through a backlog of analytics requests.
What You’ll Do
- End-to-End Development : Design, develop, and deploy new interactive dashboards to meet business requests.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with key business stakeholders to understand their challenges, gather requirements, and define metrics.
- Data Modeling & ETL : Own the data pipeline for analytics, write advanced SQL, and use Tableau Prep to build and maintain data models and cleanup flows.
- Advanced Dashboarding : Create scalable visualizations using complex Tableau calculations including LOD expressions, table calculations, and parameters.
- Optimization : Analyze, tune, and optimize existing dashboards to improve performance, accuracy, and user experience.
- Presentation : Present analysis, dashboards, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership for feedback.
- Quality & Governance : Ensure all solutions are clean, professional, and intuitive, managing work in a continuous‑flow Kanban‑style environment and following data governance standards.
Must-Have Qualifications
8+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and dashboard development.Strong SQL proficiency, including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, and subqueries.Proficiency with Tableau Desktop, with a portfolio demonstrating complex calculations, parameters, and sets.Hands‑on experience with Tableau Prep Builder for data cleaning, transformation, and flow management.Data modeling expertise with understanding of star schemas and model optimization for Tableau.Experience connecting to varied data sources : cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery), relational databases, and flat files.Experience working within the Tableau Cloud environment.Strong communication skills, able to translate business needs into technical requirements and present data to non‑technical audiences.Design sensibility : a strong eye for visual design and commitment to building clean, professional dashboards.Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
Familiarity with a scripting language such as Python or R.Experience using the Tableau REST API for automation tasks.Basic experience embedding Tableau dashboards into other applications.Experience with other BI platforms (Power BI, Looker) demonstrating the ability to learn new tools.What We Offer
