The Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time Limited Term Research Associate position with primary research interests in primary care reform, COVID-19, interprofessional teams, governance, research impact and diversity, equity and inclusion.
The successful candidate will contribute by way of their research expertise on a variety of research projects. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Assistant Professor Monica Aggarwal, the Research Associate will join an interdisciplinary teams of researchers, clinicians, and paramedic practitioners.
The Research Associate will be based out of DLSPH.
The successful candidate willl ead research activities including but not limited to : qualitative and quantitative data collection and comprehensive analysis, development and modification of research methods, data management and quality assurances.
The candidate will be responsible for carrying out independent research consistent with the goals of the programand for the direction and supervision of other research staff and students.
The candidate will liaise and provide advice and support, with research partners and study team members, in developing research protocols and grant submissions, preparation and submission of manuscripts and abstracts for peer-reviewed publication, conducting literature reviews, preparing reports for stakeholders, preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders and scientific audiences, and developing health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a PhD degree in a subject related to health policy, health services research, primary care or another health-related field, paired with 3-5 years direct experience conducting health related research
- In addition, the candidate must have : demonstrated success in the writing and preparation of manuscripts, presentations, reports, briefs and scientific abstracts;
- for peer-reviewed journals; experience conducting research in a relevant field; display strong written and oral English communication skills;
work well in a team environment; and be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast paced study. Working knowledge and experience is required in using qualitative software (e.g.N-vivo) is required.
