Responsibilities
- Acts as primary point of contact for managers and employees for day-to-day HR related questions and guides junior members of HR as and when appropriate
- Develops and implements HR strategy to drive employee retention initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth including but not limited to human rights, conflict and performance
- Partners with senior leadership to drive proactive strategies of engagement, wellbeing, operations and learning and development
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources provincial requirements
- Manages immigration requests ensuring compliance with current legislation
- Oversees performance management & review process and other corporate Human resources programs as and when required
- Drives employee engagement activities, diversity, and inclusion to enhance work environment and employee satisfaction
- Advises, and supports management in employee relations, employee retention initiatives, disciplinary and performance management
- Designs management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 10- 15 years of HR experience with 5 years in HR management
- BPO experience is preferred
- Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint for HR presentations / Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Post-secondary education in HR or related fields / CPHR designation is an asset
- Strong communicator and ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional in dynamic work environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to bring solutions to complex people and business problems
- Strong sense of time management and prioritization
- HR legal and compliance knowledge
