About the Role

We are a growing company in the precious metals industry seeking an Intermediate Web Application Developer / Full-Stack Developer to maintain, optimize, and evolve our web platforms.

In the near term, this role focuses on improving the performance, load handling, and maintainability of our WordPress-based website. This includes reviewing the current architecture, identifying bottlenecks, and replacing heavy plugins with lightweight custom code. Meaningful performance improvements are expected within the first 2–3 months.

Over time, the role will expand into modern web application development, including building React-based features, integrating third-party services, and contributing to a gradual transition toward a scalable, cloud-native, serverless architecture on AWS. This transition will handled incrementally to ensure stability and business continuity.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys improving legacy systems while contributing to long-term technical growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve performance, load, and stability issues in a WordPress website
• Maintain and enhance WordPress themes, plugins, and custom functionality
• Refactor or replace heavy plugins with efficient custom code
• Implement and maintain third-party API integrations
• Ensure security best practices, code quality, and website reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders on technical solutions
• Assist with deployment, hosting, and environment configuration
• Document technical decisions and implementation details
