Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in MySQL and data platform optimization.

This role involves managing ETL workflows, data lake operations, and supporting scalable data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience in schema design, data migration, and cloud-based data services, with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize MySQL schema design and SQL performance to support platform scalability
• Manage ETL processes and data lake operations for efficient data ingestion and transformation
• Support data migration efforts, particularly from MySQL to PostgreSQL
• Maintain and enhance ETL ingestion scripts using Python or Go (preferred but not required)
• Perform data classification, normalization, and schema optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement database security and zero-trust access controls
• Administer Linux systems, web servers, and networking components as needed
• Monitor and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes (preferred)
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, Redshift, and DMS
• Utilize Apache tools such as Airflow, Superset, and Kafka for data orchestration and visualization
