Financial Analyst

An Edmonton client is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their team.

Financial Analyst Highlights :

We seek a proactive and skilled Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role is predominantly project-focused, with responsibilities including leading and supporting two major ongoing finance projects related to PR-PO integration and A / P automation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, project management skills, and an in-depth understanding of ERP systems, notably MS Dynamics 365.

• Key Responsibilities :
• PR-PO Project (30% of role) :
• Led the integration and customization of the PR-PO process in our ERP system following a recent acquisition.
• Develop and update training documents, roll out the new system across the organization, and conduct comprehensive training sessions.
• To manage and adjust processes effectively, one must understand basic accounting principles, the A / P cycle, purchase orders, and approval hierarchies.
• A / P Automation Project (70% of role) :
• Identify and engage with vendors to find and implement a suitable A / P automation solution.
• Manage a budget of $ 40K-$80K for ERP vendor integration, including setup and annual maintenance.
• Collaborate with the project manager to create a detailed project plan that includes key dates, expectations, and vendor proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors to establish implementation timelines and ensure seamless integration.
• General Duties :
• Engage in project management activities to ensure timely progress and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop training programs and deliver educational sessions to various departments within the organization.
• Facilitate a phased approach to project implementation, utilizing existing knowledge bases and resources.
• Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial analysis or a related role with a strong focus on project management.
• In-depth knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 and familiarity with other ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects, including budgeting and implementation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with various stakeholders and external vendors.
• Desired Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
