Senior Human Resources Consultant - Human Resources Services

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources Services, the Senior Human Resources Consultant works collaboratively with the Human Resources team to provide strategic advice, guidance, recommendations and advanced leadership support to the management team and employees.

This role will have a client centered approach using a single point of contact HR service delivery model, with a focus on Labour and Employee Relations, Recruitment and Retention, and Total Rewards.

This role provides advanced consultative services and is a strategic partner to an assigned portfolio that is responsive, effective, timely, progressive and proactive in establishing strong management partnerships and strategic alignment to meet all HR service needs.

Project management and delivery will form another component of this role and will be instrumental in developing and implementing leading edge Human Resources processes, programs and strategies.

What must you have?

• Degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.
• CHRP designation required.

What else do you bring?

• Five years progressive and advanced human resources experience employee relations, recruitment, and total rewards.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
• Experience working in a consultative service delivery model.
• A high energy level, self-directed, ready to take initiative and / or to be responsive and proactive in all aspects of Human Resources Services.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Superior problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven attendance record.
• Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
• Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.
