GardaWorld's Toronto branch is currently hiring a Human Resources Advisor for our Security Services business line. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and working collaboratively with the human resources team, the successful candidate will provide advice and expertise in labour relations support and backup assistance on training and development.

Starting salary of $60,000 / year

Your Duties will include :

  • Implementing and interpreting the collective agreement.
  • Advising on all employment and labour relations polices, agreements and issues.
  • Support management on matters relating to the Collective Agreement including seniority, job postings and disciplines.
  • Conducting research to assist with the design and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct grievance resolution meetings and grievance arbitrations.
  • Represent the Company in a variety of joint labour committees.
  • Perform related duties in support of the day-to-day work.

You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess :

  • Post graduate education with major course work in Labour Relations or Human Resources, or a related area; or any equivalent combination of experience
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in working with collective agreements
  • Strong skills in communicating, analytical thinking, planning, and organizing
  • A strong understanding of labour relations, policies and procedures, employment legislation (work experience with Federal and Provincial legislations is ideal), and collective agreements is also required
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
