What You'll be Doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Digital Technology group serving retail and small business customers. This group provides strategic partnership, production support and project execution to three primary internet sites (CIBC Online Banking, cibc.com and Simplii Financial), and mobile banking. You will be a key member of the technology team supporting CIBC’s Digital Transformation, successfully implementing complex, enterprise-scale solutions on modern platforms with a variety of system integration patterns.

How You’ll Succeed

• Design and Development - Lead API design by analyzing business requirements and following high-level design. Lead API development following the right design patterns and best practices. Be good at coding complex systems and business logic effectively. Be good at modern development concepts and processes, both understanding and practice.
• Continuous Improvement - Be the advocate for continuous improvement in both processes and best practices. Firm believer in the quality of work and high productivity. Be able to bring a positive influence on the team you work with. Having the right understanding of modern technology and modern development culture is an asset.
• Operational Efficiency - Lead next-level support for operational activities. Be good at problem solving, troubleshooting and have a sound understanding of performance tuning.
• Mentorship skills - Be able to coach junior developers in the team and provide technical guidance.
