We are the premier global provider of Sulphur forming, handling, storage, transportation loading and Engineering design services.

We are currently seeking an operationally focused Junior Accountant to join our team, based in our Calgary office.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate information to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate regularly with team members for cross training and continuous improvement.
• Completion of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Stewardship of fixed asset accounting and AFEs
• Ensure the collection of all accounts receivable.
• Preparation of monthly Journal Entries as required.
• Manage Bank Reconciliation.
• Maintenance of balance sheet continuity schedules such as prepaids, PP&E, and recurring accruals
• Monthly invoicing of Accounts Receivable, and working with Operations to ensure accuracy of volumes
• Provide support for other members of the finance and administrative team as required from time to time.
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting process,
• Manage Credit Card reconciliation.
• Other duties as required.

Required skills and experience :

• 2+ year work experience with university degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• Ability to collaborate with internal / external customers, maintaining our close-knit, team-orientated culture.
• Sound knowledge of accounting, finance, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems is considered a strong asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and organize efficiently.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
