About the role
Good Shepherd Catholic School, Rasmussen is seeking an experienced and dedicated School Officer - Administration for a Term Time, Fixed Term role, working 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
This position will commence on Monday, 13 January 2025 and run for the duration of the 2023 teaching year
The role of School Officer Administration is responsible for providing high level administrative support demonstrating a high level of self-initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, autonomy and dependability.
The School Officer - Administration will represent the school in a professional, warm, friendly and efficient manner. Duties include :
Support the delivery of operational tasks associated with reception and administration including :
Provide support to student receptionMail management and distributionResponding to incoming telephone and email enquiresDealing professionally with and directing enquiries of parents, visitors and contractorsData entry to support registers and record management.
Provide administration support that meets the day to day requirements of the school including : Co-ordinate dissemination of information to staff and studentsAssist with financial transactional processes including procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
Assist with daily entry of receipting and data entry of cash / EFTPOS receipts, including cash drawer reconciliation in accordance with established routines and proceduresProduction of documents letters, registers, spreadsheetsAssist in the production of internal and external documentsSort, prepare and file documents as required
- Support the delivery of tasks associated with community events and school functions
- Administer first aid where necessary
- Monitor inventory for stationery and first aid supplies
- Assist in student reception, uniform shop and in other administration roles
- Money handling
Mandatory Criteria
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card
- Minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- First Aid certificate or the ability to attain one.
Desirable Criteria
- Recent administration and / or reception experience in a school environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial processes will be highly regarded
