We are recruiting for a Site Administrator to join our project team on a full-time basis, working a3 weeks on and 3 weeks off fly in / fly out schedule in Northern, BC.
Responsibilities :
The Site Administrator is a key member of the site project team and is expected to provide support to the Project Superintendent and employees with accurate information pertaining to scheduling and reporting to the Client.
Specific objectives are :
- Work under the direction of the Superintendent and alongside Supervisors, to manage the time entry process and ensure timesheets are entered daily into the ERP system.
- Liaise with the internal travel team to coordinate site travel information for all personnel, including visitors.
- Maintain all changes to employee travel and site logistics profiles.
- Work with the Superintendent to participate in the HR and payroll processes by providing rate changes, adjustments and terminations in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the site scheduler to assist with crew schedules, including reporting changes and leave of absences.
- Provide timely assistance to supervision and employees’ inquiries.
- Ensure compliance to Collective Agreement is adhered to.
- Operate as part of an overall team and coordinate and communicate with team members to ensure continuity and standards are maintained.
- Prepare internal and external site reports, as required.
- Perform other site administrative duties as required.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Strong communication skills; excellent organizational and verbal and written skills are essential
- Intermediate level, or above, computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word / Excel / Outlook)
- Previous ERP system experience is considered an asset
- Previous experience in mining or the heavy construction field is considered an asset
- A self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with an attention to detail
- Ability to show discretion with confidential material
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, handling various job responsibilities
- Professional interaction with all levels of staff within the organization from front line to senior executive
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
- For this position, you will be required to undergo a background check
- Preference will be given to residents of Northern, BC and those identifying as Indigenous
This position involves frequent air travel to and from the work site. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp.
For a site-based position, you will be required to undergo a background check, substance test and pre-employment medical.
