The Role
As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the Program Manager, Key Lake in the Saskatoon office. You will be responsible for leadership and quality execution of Cameco projects to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved.
In this role, you will :
- Provide Second-in-Command’ leadership of the project managers executing projects for the Key Lake Operations, supporting the Program Manager
- Lead, oversee and directly manage a suite of mechanical integrity and repair projects, including tank repairs, mill piping, and buried piping amongst others to ensure safety, quality, timeliness and profitability.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, operations, team members, and other key stakeholders
- Work with subject matter experts and ensure appropriate utilization to bring value and innovation to projects
- Ensure that project risks are adequately identified, addressed and communicated to the leadership team.
Required :
- A minimum of 10 years of combined work experience in progressive project management roles in a manufacturing, mining, or industrial setting
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field; Mechanical preferred, but other disciplines considered
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Ability to think creatively, facilitate solutions, and achieve results
- Thrive in a in dynamic environment, build trust, and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel
Recommended :
- PMP, trade certification, and / or professional engineering designation, or the ability to obtain the relevant certification
- Experience in executing all stages of the project lifecycle ( initiation, planning and estimating, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring & controlling, etc.
to deliver brownfield industrial projects
- Experience working in operations at an industrial facility
- Experience with modern digital project tools and LEAN methodologies
