Echo Technologist

OVERVIEW

The Echo Technologist is responsible for processing and testing patients for echocardiogram, doppler, TEE, Stress Echo, Contrast Echo, and Paediatric Echo testing.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography.
• Mandatory membership to CMRITO College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
• Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), AND / OR current registration as a Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS) with Sonography Canada.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Certification in IV skills an asset.
