Project Superintendent

Randstad is excited to support another one of our amazing construction clients in Kitchener / Waterloo, ON in their search for a Project Superintendent with a mechanical or industrial background to join their growing team! This role will include managing various construction projects, estimating, scheduling, coordinating work and ensuring the safety and productivity of each crew is maintained at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all construction and field engineering activities.
• Assume responsibility for project construction schedule, budgets and commissioning of project systems.
• Ensure all workmanship complies with company and project standards.
• Responsible for all on site activities on a daily basis.
• Ensure productivity and monitor efficiency of employees and subcontractors to ensure project schedules, planning and budgets are maintained.
• Contribute to the development of a construction plan and manage subcontractor activities.
• Ensure compliance with design and contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance of all on site personnel with the BGL Contractors Health and Saftey Program to create a safe working environment and adhere to all of the safety record keeping requirements.

Assist in resolution of conflicts arising for work interferences and schedule and budget difficulties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the Construction Industry
• Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or industrial project background
• First Aid, WHMIS, Confined Space certification
• Minimum Class G valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• Knowledge of tank structures and reservoirs a bonus
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
