Location : Cold Lake District – Cold Lake, Moose Lake, Whitney Lakes and Garner Lake Provincial Parks. Full or Part-Time : Full-Time. Hours of Work : 40 hours per week. Permanent / Temporary : Temporary – Wage, Seasonal. Scope : Open Competition. Closing Date : Open Until Suitable Candidate Found. Classification : Maintenance Service Worker 1, Maintenance Service Worker 2. Salary : Maintenance Service Worker 1 (MSW1) : $23.11 - $26.00 per hour. Maintenance Service Worker 2 (MSW2) : $24.80 - $30.36 per hour.

In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.6% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave :

• 5.6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
• 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay

In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay :

If you enjoy working outside and are committed to caring for Alberta Park’s facilities and campgrounds, come join our Maintenance Team in the Cold Lake District. We are looking for highly motivated, well-organized, responsible Maintenance Service Workers for the 2026 summer operating season.

Individuals will be part of a team accountable for providing regular maintenance and operational duties that support the day use areas, campgrounds, facilities and trail systems.

We are currently looking to hire Park Maintenance Workers for the following Provincial Parks in the Cold Lake District :

All positions will require you to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. You have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and will be paid for number of hours worked. You must have good physical stamina to be able to perform manual duties outdoors and in any weather conditions, rain or shine.

Qualifications

Education and Experience required :

Park Maintenance Worker 1 – (Maintenance Service Worker 1)

Some high school education

Equivalency : Directly related experience considered on the basis of 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Park Maintenance Worker 2 – (Maintenance Service Worker 2)

Some high school education and 1 year of related experience

Equivalency : Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; OR 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
