Some of what you will do :
As the Manager of Credit & collections, this role is a centralized service and critical to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Credit & Collection Organization and will be instrumental in the successful sustainability of our future growth.
The main functions of this position include oversight and continuous improvement of the Credit & Collections function, including the management of company risks and exposures.
Specifically, You Will :
- Manage team to drive positive cash flow and minimize bad debts.
- Manage all aspects of team's performance and individual associate performance.
- Ensure delivery of business results by meeting or exceeding SLAs.
- Continuously evaluate all credit and collections processes to mitigate corporate risk and report on all potential corporate exposures due to receivables issues.
- Direct communication with all customer types for collection / negotiation purposes.
- Direct communication with internal partners including Sales, Business Development, Customer Care, Customer Maintenance and IT.
- Ability to work with direct reports to create career development plans by identifying and documenting appropriate career and skill development goals, milestones, and measures.
Some of what you need :
- College diploma in finance, business or related field.
- Bilingual work experience is an asset - fluent in English and French.
- Preferred - Certified Credit Professional designation or enrolled in program.
- Knowledgeable of cash application processes and various payment methods.
- Familiar with bankruptcy / receivership processes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a B2B credit / collections environment.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
