About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Plant Controller to join our Finance team at the Ajax Plant. This critical leadership role is responsible for delivering financial insights, ensuring strong governance, and driving operational performance. As a strategic partner, you’ll collaborate with Plant Management and senior leadership to manage budgets, analyze results, and provide recommendations that improve efficiency and safeguard company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze variances versus standards and budgets; prepare monthly and year-to-date reports.
• Present monthly and year-end financial results to plant and Finance leadership.
• Develop and monitor plant overhead standards, including crewing models, machine speeds, material yields, and allocation measures.
• Prepare ROI analyses for capital expenditure proposals and monitor spending.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives with financial data and insights.
• Define and manage key reports and data systems to support plant operations and Finance.
• Participate in cross-functional operations projects across multiple sites (FYI : This controller will get involved with other sites (Plants) projects).
