MatrixHR is recruiting an experienced Refrigeration Technician for a client of ours located in Vancouver BC. This is a Food Equipment specialists for installation, maintenance, and repair.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of refrigeration systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise, learn the Pinnacle style of customer care and install.

Pay : $34 / hr for apprentice OR $45 / hour for a seasoned and very experienced technician
Duties :
- Maintain customers’ refrigeration systems, in restaurants, grocery stores (large walk-ins),
- Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves
- Inspect tubing, connections, valves, and pumps
- Replace seals, gaskets, and bushings
- Re-assemble system components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and pumps
Responsibilities :
Provide service to commercial refrigeration systems, including installing, servicing, repairing, and replacing parts; participating in preventative maintenance schedules;
and performing minor calibrations.
- Perform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.
- Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting.
- Maintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records.
- Research and resolve complex system problems.
- Complete assigned paperwork and forms.
- Conduct safety inspections, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations are followed.
Requirements And Skills :
- 2+ years of experience in industrial, residential or commercial food service equipment
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration equipment
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing
