LA Matheson Secondary is an Inner City caring Community School with various programs of student support including Junior Humanities and Year-long Math / Science, podded grade 8 & 9 programs, Applied Skills and Fine Arts (Band, Drama, Dance and Art Integration) programs, Co-op / Career Education Embedded SFU PDP (Student Teacher program) and Teacher lead PLC's that focuses on collaboration and learning.

The Inclusive Education Teacher - Intensive Intervention and Support (Low Incidence 8-12) works in consultation with Student Support, works with teachers, administrators, and other district personnel and parents / guardians to provide support for learners.

Requirements :
Bachelor of Education (Elementary or Secondary) degree, or equivalent training
Valid BC Teaching Certificate
minimum three years satisfactory teaching experience working with students with moderate to severe profound intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviour.
completion of a Diploma in Inclusive / inclusive education or equivalent with emphases on moderate to severe profound intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Salary range is $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
