Nurse (RPN or RN) needed for Paediatric client in Etobicoke

The Care Company is looking for an awesome, self-driven and highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse (RN or RPN) to assist us with a paediatric home care client.

He is a lovely 11-year-old boy in need of nursing support in Etobicoke.

Family is looking for someone to join their team ON-GOING AND FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

Shifts to be discussed during the interview stage.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
• Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs
• Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
• Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required
• Observe the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responses
• Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
• Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure clients health and well-being

Requirements :

• An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
• Negative TB Test completed within the last year
• CNO Registration
• COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
• Valid CPR / First Aid certification
• Valid WHMIS2015 certification from the last year
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
• Having previous Paediatric nursing experience is an asset
• Having previous g-tube, suctioning, and oxygen administration / monitoring experience is an asset.
