Position Summary
Speech Pathologist, Reactivation Care Centre
At North York General Hospital we continue to advance the important role we play as we advocate for healthcare initiatives in the diverse community we serve. In December 2017, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), in partnership with multiple hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area, opened the Reactivation Care Centre – A Central LHIN Hospital Collaborative.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist you will provide effective and efficient client care for adult in-patients with swallowing and / or communication difficulties at the Reactivation Care Centre, including Alternate Level of Care units and Geriatric Rehab unit. Strong interpersonal skills are integral to this role to enable effortlessly communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
This position supports the Hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and / or transforming care through research and innovation. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for staff, physicians, volunteers, learners, patients and families.
