THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

GreenShield-NKS is a specialty pharmacy and healthcare company focused on the handling and service of injectable, infused and biologic medications. Greenshield provides provides high quality service by strategically focusing on chronic autoimmune and neurological conditions, such as: rheumatoid arthritis, gastrointestinal diseases, dermatological diseases, stroke rehabilitation, migraines, and multiple sclerosis. An organizational dedication to program innovation and R&D has allowed Greenshield to design and deliver superior healthcare solutions over the years, which has earned them a premium reputation with patients, physicians, and medication manufacturers. NKS Health truly creates a complete patient experience as it works with patients, physicians, clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes on all aspects of treatment.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Provide exceptional patient and customer service in keeping with GreenShield-NKS Health values.
• Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.
• Administer intramuscular vaccination and TB skin testing as ordered
• Take appropriate action in situations where the safety and well-being of the patient may be compromised.
• Adhere to best work safety practices and procedures
• Report Adverse Events as needed
• Adhere to nursing practices as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Commitment to continuing education

• Minimum of 1 year experience with IVs, hospital nursing preferred
• Experience with IV antibiotics, and biologics preferred
• Experience with Pediatric patient population an asset
• Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current BLS required. ACLS an asset
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required.
• Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills.
• Possesse the physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties described in the duties and responsibilities.
